Maximum efficiency

Genetic Engineering allows a number of Quantel Pablo and iQ or eQ workstations to share storage – on the GenePool - and, via the Sam data server, provides open access to shared media for other applications. The Max assist station allows non-creative tasks such as i/o, conforms and archiving to be handled outside the creative suites. All this enables the facility to get maximum throughput from every resource and boosts the productivity and profitability of every facility engaged in DI and high end post.

Totally open access

Sam opens up the GenePool by providing open read/write access for 3rd party applications via the cross-platform CIFS protocol. Sam can virtualize assets into different formats without creating new media and wasting disk space. And with Sam’s inventory view, you can look into the structure of clips and composites to access the underlying media as well as the finished version. All this with no proprietary API, just out of the box teamworking.
